A couple of years ago, contractors have removed the popcorn from the ceiling of my house. Not sure if there was any asbestos. My question is what, rather than hours should do. Now you can have harmfull levels of asbestos two years later after all the vacuming, moping and airing out? If so what should I do? From what I read, small amounts of asbestos are found everywhere and are not considered harmfull. Moreover, people who have received cancer, worked in factories that are covered head to peaks in asbestos for many years. How should I be responsible?

On my cousin and I were recently working on a house. On a roof side there were some tiles made of asbestos in about 9 x 1 foot. My cousin was ripping off and some dust was flying everywhere. Of course I was nervous, so I stay about 5-10 feet away with my shirt over my nose and mouth. He was working alone for about 10 minutes and after that, when there was more? limit of the dust, I started taking it and put it in plastic bags. Now this was a job once, so that lasted only a limited period. I could get cancer from it than that, or it requires years of having to get around it cancer?

The other day I was trying to extend an antenna and I was keeping it when the tip accidentally hit my ceiling popcorn. This ceiling has asbestos. It was built in 70 'original, and if the asbestos had been used as a flame retardant. Now I 'm. scared to death that I 'm. going to die from cancer or something. So that risk is to miners and shipyard workers, but it is possible I could get cancer just barely in contact and make it release the fibers? Must happen before, hasn 't it? I mean am I the only one in my entire condominium complex (200 apartments or so) who accidentally hit the ceiling? Are condemned? PLEASE HELP! I 'M really frightened and appreciates all the answers. 2 people in my family who lived in the house died from cancer and now 1 new person who lives them were diagnosed with cancer. The house is over 100yrs old so the chances of asbestos is there.

I sleep near the ceiling of my wall, because the base of my barn. I 'm. not sure if I 'M sleeping near to asbestos and to I frequently hit the wall on the accident. Could be anything, but I 'm. responsible for knowing if I 'm that actually has a dangerous gamble with what 's on me or it' s just nothing dangerous.
